Feeling genuinely heard, understood and not judged creates the safety to explore what is difficult to say out loud, make sense of what is happening and consider what might need to change.
Our counselling is warm, collaborative and culturally responsive, shaped around you rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. We take the time to understand you and the life you have lived, and work alongside you at a pace that feels right, whether you are looking for practical strategies, space to reflect, or simply somewhere to start.
Sessions are held online via telehealth, so you can connect from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Counselling can support you through many of life's challenges, including:

Therapy should not be applied in exactly the same way to every person. We work with you to understand what feels useful, drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches.
Counselling is not about being told what to do. It is about understanding yourself, recognising your choices and strengths, and working towards a life that feels meaningful to you.
Sessions can be supportive and reflective, with gentle challenge when it may help you see something differently.
You would like practical strategies and skills.
You want to slow down and explore your experiences, thoughts and emotions.
You want to understand why you respond in particular ways.
You know something needs to change but are not yet sure where to begin.
That is completely understandable. Here is what you can expect.
We will not move faster than you are comfortable with.
You do not have to talk about anythihng before you are ready.
Your first session is a chance to get a sense of your counsellor and decide whether working together feels right for you.

Master of Counselling · ACA Level 2

“I bring genuine curiosity to understanding each person and the life they have lived, rather than assuming that one approach to counselling will suit everyone.”
Siew is a qualified counsellor with a Master of Counselling and a Level 2 registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Her approach is warm, collaborative and culturally responsive, and clients often describe her as having a calm presence.
Before moving into counselling, mental health and disability services, Siew spent more than 25 years in the corporate world, where some of her most meaningful work was mentoring people and watching them grow in confidence. While completing her Master of Counselling she worked as a disability support worker, gaining a ground-level understanding of the barriers people with disability can face. She also works as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with Inclusive Therapeutics.
Outside of work, Siew is a parent who loves travelling, theatre and visual arts, enjoys Australia's diverse food culture and shares her home with a Siamese cat who very much considers himself part of the family.
